Founder

Chuck Gerry is the Founder of MGP. He is responsible for the firm’s business development and delivery of solutions and services across a portfolio of utility customers. Chuck has decades of experience with utility network communications and associated infrastructure build-outs, having overseen the design and deployment of electric and telecommunication systems for several North American utilities. It is this intimate knowledge that empowers the MGPs’ team with both the vision and execution know-how to deliver client grid visions.

Chuck is a champion of MGP’s support for local charities. He also donates his time and expertise to various nonprofits. 

Prior to MGP, Chuck was the Director of Grid Modernization at Woodard & Curran, an 850-person engineering firm supporting gas, water and electric utilities nation-wide. Previous to that, as the Director of Utilities at Tilson, Chuck played a key role in placing Tilson in the top 1500 of the Fastest Growing Companies by Inc., two years in a row.

Rachelle Cummings Chief Operating Officer is responsible for the day to day activities of our organization.  She leads the MGP Project Management office team with over 15 years of experience in management and sales. She provides project coordinating and documentation to a portfolio of emerging technology projects including systems, network, and operations. Rachelle supports MGP customers with discovery, business case and value definition, and general deployment management of utility-centric infrastructure, network build to advance metering and distribution automation projects.

Vice President Operations

Tom Woods is the Vice President of Operations at MGP.  He has over 30 years of expertise in implementing new technologies, managing diverse teams, and supporting utilities across North America reach success with their strategic projects. He easily communicates throughout the customer’s organization, engaging the project teams and discussing high level strategy and program management with executives.

Tom has extensive management experience in all aspects of company operations with a proven track record of success resulting in bottom-line results.

Prior to MGP, Tom was the Program Manager for Grid Modernization at Woodard & Curran and before that the Senior Consultant of Wireless Network Deployment at Tilson. Tom’s professional demeanor and recognized track record of completing projects on-schedule and scope is attributed to his time spent with the United States Navy where he was an Electronic Warfare Technician.

David E. Fay III, CISSP

Vice President Technology

David leads all of our internal IT initiatives and manages our team of consultants as well as supporting customer projects.  He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional with extensive experience developing critical security control strategy and tactical implementations for the utility, financial, healthcare, and government sectors.  David is a member of InfraGard and holds decades of enterprise level hands on technology experience. He has a broad background leading, planning, analyzing, and implementing technology projects in support of business objectives. David is also a Subject-Matter Expert (SME) in implementing and managing windows environments, database administration and development, and strategic planning. David leads all stages of information security and infrastructure design efforts for MGPs’ customers, including requirements gathering, solution architecture, implementation, and support.  David has a bachelor of science degree in business and computer information technology from Southern New Hampshire University.

David is active in his community.  He served as board treasurer for the Pace Center for Girls Board in Clay County Florida working closely with state and local officials to promote this very important program.  He is currently a board member on the Maine Technology Institute Technology Board supporting efforts to drive technology opportunities in his home state of Maine.

George is a Senior Project Manager and an enterprising and accomplished leader with expertise in program/project management, customer-facing product development, process improvement, team building/leadership and product management.  He leverages practical experience with strong communication and collaboration skills to develop new business, build high performing teams, and forge loyalty with customers, vendors, and internal & external business partners.  He is a problem-solving, analytical evaluator who identifies areas for growth and implements forward-thinking strategies to optimize products, reduce costs, and improve quality. George drives transformational change while making significant contributions to the bottom line. He brings a passion for results and ensures execution of strategy through a unique ability to blend high level vision with strong organizational development skills and proven mission execution.  George holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from The University of Southern Maine.

Principal Cyber Risk Practitioner

Raul Machin is our Principal Cyber Risk Practitioner, he holds twenty five years of information technology experience with over fourteen years directly related to information and cyber security.  Raul is highly skilled in applying cyber security defense in depth strategies to industrial control systems.  He holds CISSP, CISA, and TOGAF 9 certification and has been educated in protecting industrial controls through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security ICS-CERT program.  He has served as a team leader in numerous information technology roles.

Raul also possesses over thirty years of Department of Defense experience which include twenty years of military affiliation, with both active duty and reserve components, combined with thirteen years of Federal contracting experience. His expertise is concentrated in Information Security, cybersecurity, Incident Response, Disaster Recovery Planning, Business Continuity, Program and Project Management.  Raul holds Masters Degree in Information Security from Capella University.  He currently holds an active US Government Security Clearance.

Tommy Piggee

Tommy is a Power BI subject matter expert.  He works to obtain identified information from key sources working with data source owners to bring this data into usable
metric development (into Power BI) and reporting format (Power BI and PowerPoint).  He has experience working with data from automated and non-automated sources including, developing solutions to intake data as required, validate data integrity, and maintain metrics and reporting inventory databases.  He ensures thorough technical documentation is drafted as part of every engagement.

Senior IT/OT Consultant

Alan brings over twenty years of professional technology experience to the MGP team.  He is a subject matter expert in the design and deployment of Active Directory, Windows Server Architecture, VMWare, HyperV, Cloud Services, and many other technical disciplines.  He is a nimble tactician able to solve any complex technical issue.  Alan supports the planning and deployment and upgrades of SCADA networks for our utility customers.  He is a certified information systems security professional and has an extensive cyber security background.  Alan has a number of degrees including a masters degree in cybersecurity from Southern New Hampshire University.

William Bowerman is our Principal Cyber Analyst, he is a technically sophisticated, seasoned IT professional with broad-based experience in evaluating, recommending, deploying, administering, and using enterprise IT security systems. He has a demonstrated ability to effectively manage cyber projects to their completion. Bill has many years of experience developing and maintaining security logging, monitoring, and reporting programs. William has conducted impactful enterprise vulnerability scanning, penetration tests, and risk assessments programs. He is experienced in writing and maintaining documentation from policy and procedures to network topologies and system configurations.
